Automatic tamper for Eureka Atom – 58 mm, black
Eureka calls it the Under-the-Grinder Automatic Tamper for Atom: an automatic tamper that is placed under the Eureka Atom.
The tamping pressure is adjustable between 10 and 30 kg, and one tamp takes about 1.5 seconds according to Eureka. Eureka offers the tamper disc in 53, 54.3, 57.3, 58 and 58.3 mm; we carry the 58 mm version.
Even pressure is one variable less. How the espresso tastes is still decided by the bean, the grind size and the brew ratio, with 1:2 as a starting point. Our opinion is one of many: some prefer to tamp by hand, others value the repeatability.
