So the main switch clicks firmly into place again instead of spinning freely
The rotary knob on the main switch is the part of your AllGround Sense you touch first thing every morning. It sits on the switch shaft and transfers your turning motion – that is all it does, and that is exactly why you only notice it once it stops doing it.
With continuous use, the socket in the plastic widens. The knob then sits loosely on the shaft, turns part of the way without effect before the switch responds, or comes off in your hand when you switch on. Gripping it harder only makes things worse faster. The knob is purely a control part and can be replaced on its own, part number 900001674.
When it is time to replace it
You will notice it by these signs:
- The knob has play and wobbles on the shaft.
- You turn it part of the way before the switch even reacts.
- The knob comes off by hand without you having to pull.
- The edges are chipped, the marking worn or faded.

Who it is for
For anyone with an AllGround Sense in a café or at home who wants to replace a worn control part without booking a repair straight away. The knob is changed from the outside – unplug the grinder from the mains first. The switch itself and the wiring are not touched; if something is wrong there, the grinder belongs in the workshop.
What goes with it
In the Fiorenzato grinder spare parts section you will find the other original spare parts for the series, and under Coffee grinder accessories everything around dosing and handling. We also carry the matching single dose bellows for the AllGround Sense, and if you are looking for the whole grinder, you will find it under Fiorenzato.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
When we replace a switch knob, we wipe the front with a slightly damp cloth before the new knob goes on – coffee dust under the edge of the knob is the reason the next one becomes stiff again. That is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. Afterwards we grind one dose for adjustment, usually Nutty Delight, because the blend honestly shows deviations in grind size. If you prefer it sweeter, go for Cozy Chocolate, and for crema in your espresso Very Nutty. The full range is under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Does the knob also fit other Fiorenzato grinders?
We list it as a part for the AllGround Sense. Other series sometimes have different shafts. Send us the serial number and we will check the fit.
Does the delivery include a screw or a pin?
No, you receive the rotary knob. Everything else stays on the grinder.
Can I change the knob myself?
The change is done from the outside, without opening the housing. Unplug the grinder from the mains first. As soon as the switch itself sticks or crackles, the machine belongs in a specialist workshop.
Why does my knob come loose in the first place?
The socket is made of plastic and widens minimally with every turn. After a few thousand switching operations there is play that does not go away.
Can I pick up the part at the showroom?
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a quick message and we will have it ready for you.
