You load about 100 grams of green coffee, choose a profile, and around ten minutes later the scent of freshly roasted beans rises to meet you – green turns to gold, right in front of you. The Kaffelogic Nano 7e is a high-precision convection roaster on the fluid-bed principle: a hot air stream, measured bean temperature, an automated process. Small enough for tight spaces, precise enough to serve as a sample roaster for roasteries, producers and green coffee traders.
Because an exposed bean probe measures temperature directly at the bean, and the roast follows a preset temperature curve via PID, your results stay consistent batch after batch. Through bean temperature and airflow strength you steer the character of the roast – from super light to super dark. Included are 12 roast profiles with 60 roast degrees each; you can create unlimited profiles of your own and share them simply as a file. How light or dark you roast is your decision – there's no right and no wrong, what counts is that the coffee tastes good to you. That's our view, one of many.

For everyone who wants to roast themselves – at home with limited space just as much as in a roastery as a sample roaster. Thanks to ready-made profiles, getting started is easy, while the free software allows for as much depth as you want. The optional BOOST Kit extends the batch size range. If you'd rather get your beans already roasted, you'll find them in our coffee beans; the right grinder for afterward is in our coffee grinders.
Recommended is 90 to 120 g of green coffee, typically in around 10 minutes, with about 4 minutes of cooling time. The optional BOOST Kit extends the batch size range.
An exposed bean probe measures temperature directly at the bean, and the roast follows a preset temperature curve via PID – which delivers repeatable results.
No. The device runs independently with the 12 included profiles. The free Kaffelogic Studio software (Windows, Mac, Linux) is for documenting, adjusting and creating your own profiles.
