Kikooni Travel Bag “Roy Darkblue” – weekender made of hand-printed cotton
Dark blue cotton fabric with orange tigers, blue-and-white striped inside. “Roy Darkblue” is the understated colour among the Kikooni travel bags: a weekender for business trips as much as for short breaks.
The bag is made for the Munich label Kikooni in a small workshop in Jaipur, India. It is printed by hand – according to Kikooni with wooden blocks (block print) or by screen printing, using natural, azo-free dyes. Outer fabric and lining are cotton, which keeps the bag light and flexible.
Carry it by the two handles or on the removable, adjustable shoulder strap, also crossbody. The main compartment with inner pocket closes with a zip, plus two outer pockets, one of them with a zip – handy for passport or wallet. A trolley loop slides over the telescopic handle of a wheeled suitcase. According to Kikooni, clothes for a few days, a large bath towel, trainers and a laptop fit inside.
As every piece is printed by hand, the pattern sits slightly differently on each bag than in the pictures. Items shown as decoration in some pictures are not included.

Care
Kikooni recommends a maximum of 30 °C on a delicate cycle, with the bag turned inside out and in a laundry bag, using a mild detergent without bleach, enzymes or optical brighteners. Add a colour catcher sheet to the first wash, as the natural dyes may still release some pigment. Check the method on an inconspicuous spot first, then let the bag air-dry, ideally in the shade. No tumble dryer.

Tip from the roastery: If you take coffee along for the weekend, Nutty Delight or Cozy Chocolate are a good choice – dense, round and full-bodied. Very Nutty is the pick for maximum body. That's our recommendation – one of many.
