So the paddle runs firm and precise again

The spacer is part of the mechanism behind the paddle. It keeps the valve parts to size so that the lever moves through its entire travel, from closed to fully open, with the same firm resistance.

When it wears, the lever travel becomes imprecise: the paddle feels loose, no longer finds the stop cleanly or springs back. Since you are working at this point anyway when overhauling the group, the part is often replaced at the same time. The part number is B.2.015.03.

When it is due

  • The paddle feels loose or wobbly.
  • The lever no longer finds the stop clearly.
  • When released, the paddle springs back unevenly.
  • The removed part shows scoring or is compressed.

Who it is for

For service companies and experienced owners of paddle machines who want to eliminate the play in the lever instead of getting used to it.

Important for installation

The part sits in a pressurised assembly. The machine must be switched off, depressurised and cooled down. We deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions for this.

What goes with it

From our workshop

A loose paddle is easiest to spot if you pull the lever very slowly and pay attention to the resistance. We do this in Bern and Zurich on every machine that comes in for service – our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. What ends up in the cup afterwards is usually Cozy Chocolate; you will find all the others under Coffee beans.

Returns excluded

Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after being installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Frequently asked questions

Which model does the part belong to exactly?

It belongs to the paddle group. We will clarify which model series you have based on the serial number – just send it to us.

Is the paddle itself included?

No. Only the spacer is supplied.

Does the part eliminate all play in the lever?

Not necessarily. Play can also come from bushings or seals. That is why an overhaul usually involves replacing more than one part.

Can I replace it myself?

We recommend installation by a qualified professional, because the group is under pressure.

Can I see the part in the showroom?

Yes. In Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b.
