The small part that holds the anti-shock plates in place
On the KB90, the anti-shock plates absorb the hard impact of the portafilter. They are fastened with an M4x10 mushroom-head screw, and this sleeve with part number F.3.109 sits in between. It gives the screw the correct spacing and prevents the plate from being stressed when tightened.
You only notice it when it is missing. Then the plate either sits loose and rattles every time you insert the portafilter, or it gets distorted when tightened and no longer sits flat.
When it is due
The anti-shock plate rattles or cannot be fastened without play. The sleeve is squashed, cracked or got lost during servicing. The screw can be tightened without the plate actually becoming firm.

What goes with it
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich: During KB90 services, we put all small parts in a shallow tray instead of on the workbench – our own rule, not a manufacturer specification. Otherwise, sleeves of this size reliably roll under the machine and reassembly comes to a halt. Afterwards, the test cup with Nutty Delight, Cozy Chocolate or Very Nutty from our coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a short message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.

No. Under F.3.109, only the sleeve is supplied. We carry the M4x10 mushroom-head screw separately.

Are the anti-shock plates included?
No. The plates are separate parts and are included, among others, in the group head gasket set for the KB90.
Can I fit it myself?
Yes, it is straightforward. Work on the machine when it is cold and depressurised, and tighten the screw gently.
