Lelit Portafilter Single Spout EM Series 57 mm – Portafilter for LELIT57
The cup is ready, the stream comes down thin and centred, and after a few seconds a dense, hazelnut-brown crema sits on top.
This portafilter is designed for one cup and comes with three baskets that cover three different ways of making espresso. The single-cup basket holds 7 to 9 grams and is the classic route to a single shot. The blind basket has no holes and is used for flushing the group head. And the paper pod basket takes pre-portioned pods for when things need to go quickly or you have guests.
That the choice of basket fundamentally changes the aroma profile becomes clear the moment you switch. A different hole pattern, a different volume, and the same coffee tastes different – denser, clearer, rounder. Coffee contains over 800 compounds, more than wine, and which of them end up in the cup depends on particle size, temperature and the path the water takes through the bed. That makes a basket not an accessory but a setting you can adjust.
We work by weight ratio, not by time alone. With 8 grams in the single basket and a ratio below 1:2, less than 16 grams end up in the cup. From there you can go in either direction. There's no right and no wrong – the coffee just has to taste good. Our opinion is one of many.
The handle belongs to Lelit's classic black line. The 57 millimetres mean LELIT57 – the group of the Anna and the Anita. Machines with LELIT58 don't take this portafilter; the two groups are not compatible with each other.

Who it's for
For anyone with a Lelit Anna or Anita who regularly pulls a single espresso and doesn't want to swap baskets every time. The included blind basket also makes it the portafilter for daily cleaning, and with the pod basket you cover a third way without having to buy anything extra.
Whether you make one espresso a day or six doesn't matter, and no level of experience is required. You'll find more portafilters for both Lelit groups in the Portafilters and bottomless portafilters collection, and matching baskets among the precision baskets and filter baskets.
What goes with it
With small doses, the grinder matters more, because a single basket is less forgiving of unevenness. For anyone who wants a grinder that's affordable and precise: the Varia VS3, or the Comandante C40 as a hand grinder. If you want more, go for the Varia VS6, the Weber Workshops EG-1 or the Option-O Lagom – all in the coffee grinders collection. Burr sets are like engines in cars: subjective, there's no best one.
For dosing, a scale is worth having. Affordable and precise with Normcore, with app, flow-rate display and Bluetooth from Acaia, both in the coffee scales collection. And a 57.35 mm tamper fills the basket right to the edge: affordable and precise from Normcore, with higher demands on materials from Weber Workshops, found in the tampers collection.
Frequently asked questions
Does this portafilter fit my Lelit?
It fits all Lelit machines with the LELIT57 group: Anna PL41EM, Anna PL41TEM, Anita PL042EM and Anita PL042TEMD. Machines with the LELIT58 group, such as the MaraX, MaraX3, Bianca, Elizabeth, Victoria or Kate, don't take it.
Which baskets are included?
Three in stainless steel: a single-cup basket for 7 to 9 grams, a blind basket without holes for cleaning the group head, and a basket for paper pods.
What do I need the blind basket for?
For the backflush. Daily it runs without detergent, every 50 shots or every two weeks with detergent, and it takes about five minutes. The blind basket holds the water back in the group so that the return path gets flushed.
Can I also pull two cups with it?
The spout leads into one cup. For two cups there's the double spout in the same format, and with a larger basket in the single spout, the double amount simply ends up in one vessel.
Can I see the product before buying?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there. Delivery to Switzerland and Liechtenstein takes 2 to 4 working days.
From the roastery
Small doses in a single basket come out at their best with dense roasts, because body and sweetness carry the short shot. Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight are our main recommendation for this. If you're looking for maximum body without any acidity, go for Very Nutty, and if you want to discover something fruity, Wild Peach. That's our recommendation, one of many.
