What makes the Ultra-Slim Puck Screen special
At 0.8 mm, this puck screen remains slim and takes up little space in the portafilter. It sits on top of the tamped coffee bed, ensures a softer water flow, helps reduce channeling, and supports a more even extraction. At the same time, it keeps the shower screen of the brew group clean because hardly any coffee grounds are pulled upwards when the lever is lifted. Especially with machines where the shower screen is attached with a screw, a flat disc sits comfortably flush.
The mesh is made of 316 stainless steel, without coating – simple and straightforward. Whether you prefer an ultra-thin or a thicker screen is a matter of taste, and this is just our view, one of many.

What does a puck screen do?

What is the difference to the PVD variant?
This version is plain 316 stainless steel without coating. The PVD variant additionally has a dark, hard titanium coating. Both function identically.
Does the 58.5 mm screen fit my machine?
At 58.5 mm, it fits into common 58 mm portafilters. At 0.8 mm, it remains flat enough to sit flush even with screw-mounted shower screens, such as those from La Marzocco or Bezzera.
How do I clean the puck screen?
Rinse thoroughly with water after use. For stains, clean with Cafiza or a shot from the steam wand.
