What makes this distributor special
The planetary system works with 15 needles, divided into five independently rotating groups. They rotate and simultaneously orbit the filter basket – this combination of rotation and orbit stirs in multiple directions and reaches areas that simple tools often miss. This creates a uniform density in the puck, which reduces channeling. Distribution is a learning process, not an exam, and this is just our view, one of many.
The stirring depth can be infinitely adjusted to the basket depth and coffee quantity. The tool is made of 304 stainless steel, anodized aluminum, and brass. The scope of delivery includes spare needles (0.25 mm and 0.30 mm, depending on the version) and a needle fixing tool, so that needles can be replaced if necessary.

What does the planetary system do?

How does it differ from the Concentric version?
The Planetary version stirs with a combined rotation and orbital motion; the Concentric version moves the needles in fixed concentric circular paths. Both distribute evenly – it's a matter of preference.
