What makes the ribbed base special
Instead of a flat surface, the ribbed base imprints a slight texture into the coffee bed. This indentation allows for controlled water flow and more even saturation of the coffee grounds – which reduces the risk of donut extraction. The base is made of food-grade 304 stainless steel and can be swapped on the spring-loaded Normcore Tamper. Whether you prefer a ribbed, a waffle, or a flat base is a matter of taste, and that's just our view, one of many.
