Completely pre-assembled with vacuum valve
Cap includes vacuum valve and seal in one component. Nothing needs to be assembled separately during installation – simply remove the old cap, insert the new one, and tighten. The vacuum valve ensures that no negative pressure builds up in the boiler when cooling down, which would damage the seal.

Does the boiler cap fit every Olympia machine?
Yes. The boiler cap is a generic component that fits the Cremina, Cremina SL, and Maximatic identically. No machine specification is required when ordering.
When should I replace the boiler cap?
If water or steam escapes from the cap, visible corrosion is present, or the pressure in the boiler is no longer correct. With normal use, the cap will last for many years.
What does the vacuum valve do?
It prevents a vacuum from forming in the boiler when the machine cools down. Without a vacuum valve, seals would eventually be pulled inwards and damaged. The valve is part of the complete cap and is automatically replaced when the cap is changed.

A new boiler cap is one of those invisible maintenance parts that give your machine back its honest pressure. If you have an older Cremina, Cremina SL or Maximatic and notice that something isn't quite right anymore, you should check the cap as one of the first suspected issues. Our opinion, one of many.
