Cap including vacuum valve and seal in one component. Nothing needs to be assembled separately during installation – simply remove the old cap, insert the new one, and tighten. The vacuum valve ensures that no negative pressure builds up in the boiler when cooling down, which would damage the seal.

Does the boiler cap fit every Olympia machine?
Yes. The boiler cap is a generic component that fits Cremina, Cremina SL and Maximatic identically. Machine specification is not necessary when ordering.
When should I replace the boiler cap?
If water or steam escapes from the cap, visible corrosion is present, or the pressure in the boiler is no longer correct. With normal use, the cap lasts for many years.
What does the vacuum valve do?
It prevents negative pressure from building up in the boiler when the machine cools down. Without a vacuum valve, seals would be pulled inwards and damaged over time. The valve is part of the complete cap and is automatically replaced when changed.
