Profitec PRO 400 – Dual-Circuit Machine with E61
Slim, eye-catching and adaptable: the PRO 400 is a compact dual-circuit machine whose look you can change in moments with colored valve plates. Three selectable temperatures and switchable pre-infusion give you room to shape the shot – from Profitec, a German manufacturer based in Bammental near Heidelberg, handmade in Germany and Italy.

Dual-circuit machine with E61
The E61 group head with stainless steel bell keeps the temperature stable. As a dual-circuit machine, you can pull a shot and steam milk at the same time.
Three temperatures and pre-infusion
A multi-function switch on the underside lets you choose between three temperatures and switch pre-infusion and ECO mode on or off.
Dual gauge and brew pressure
The dual gauge keeps boiler and pump pressure in view. The adjustable expansion valve lets you set the brew pressure yourself.
Adaptable design
Valve plates in different colors are included, so you can adjust the look. Stainless steel boiler with 1.6 liters, water tank with around 2.8 liters, only 228 mm wide.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a dual-circuit machine and a dual boiler?
A dual-circuit machine uses one boiler with a heat exchanger for brewing and steam at the same time. A dual boiler has two separate boilers. With a dual-circuit machine, you can also pull a shot and steam milk at the same time.
Can I really change the look?
Yes. The included colored valve plates can be swapped without tools.
How long does heating up take?
Plan for around 20 minutes so the E61 group head is stable at temperature.
Can I see it before I buy?
Of course. It's on display in Bern and Zürich Oerlikon, so you can see it live. Just let us know, and we'll have it ready.
Is the barista course included?
A private barista course can be booked in addition.
Roastery tip
Use the three temperature settings to match the machine to your bean, and play with pre-infusion: a brief pre-wetting of the puck evens out small irregularities and makes the shot calmer. That's our recommendation, one of many.
