Profitec Pro 700 Flowprofil – Dual Boiler with Flow Control
Control the water flow yourself, not just grind size and dose: the Pro 700 Flowprofil gives you an additional adjustment at the brew group through a flow profile valve. Underneath sits a dual boiler with E61 brew group and quiet rotary pump – from Profitec, a German manufacturer based in Bammental near Heidelberg, hand-built in Germany and Italy.
Coffee Coaching Club is a partner of Profitec in Switzerland. A barista course at our roastery in Bern or at the Zürich Oerlikon showroom can be booked separately – in German or English. Swiss warranty and support after purchase included.
All Features at a Glance
Flow Control via Flow Profile Valve
With the flow profile valve, you adjust how quickly the water in the brew group reaches the coffee grounds. A gentle flow at the start of the shot lowers the risk of uneven extraction (channeling).
Dual Boiler with Two PIDs
Coffee boiler and steam/hot water boiler are separate and independently adjustable, with a second-by-second display of the shot time. The steam boiler can be switched on and off with its own switch.
Rotary Pump and Direct Water Connection
The quiet rotary pump keeps the pressure steady. Switchable from the water tank (3 L) to a direct water connection. No-burn steam and hot water wands, drip tray insert to shorten the distance to the brew group.
Boilers and Key Specs
Coffee boiler 0.75 L, steam boiler 2 L, both stainless steel and insulated, heating elements with 1200 watts (coffee) and 1400 watts (steam), boiler and pump pressure gauges, large drip tray (approx. 1 L). Weight around 31 kg.

Who It's For
For everyone who wants to experiment with water flow beyond grind size and dose. If you want to shape the shot deliberately and reduce channeling, you'll find an extra layer of control here.
What Goes With It
A precise coffee grinder like the ones from the Eureka range, a tamper and fresh beans like Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight. More in the Profitec collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Flow Control do?
How quickly the water reaches the coffee grounds is up to you. A gentle start makes extraction more even and helps especially with light roasts to bring out the aroma cleanly.
Can I connect it to the water line?
Yes. It's switchable from the water tank to a direct water connection. We set up the connection on request during delivery.
How long does heating up take?
Plan for around 20 minutes so the E61 brew group is stable at temperature.
Can I see it before buying?
Gladly – it can be seen live in Bern and Zürich Oerlikon. Just let us know and we'll have it ready.
Is the barista course included?
A private barista course can be booked separately.
Roastery Tip
Start the shot with a low flow to gently wet the puck, then open up slowly. Especially with light, acidity-forward roasts, this creates a balanced, clear espresso. Take your time exploring different curves. That's our recommendation, one of many.
