Rocket Portafilter Single Complete with Filter Basket
The original Rocket portafilter for one cup: 58 mm, single spout, chrome-plated brass, with a single filter basket. Available in Bern and Zurich.
The portafilter holds the coffee puck in the group head, seals against the group gasket and guides the espresso through the spout into the cup. It is locked in, knocked out and reinserted every day. Over time, the bayonet, handle and filter basket show signs of wear. A second portafilter serves as a replacement or for alternating at the group.
When a replacement makes sense
The portafilter no longer sits firmly in the group, turns too far, the handle wobbles, the spout is damaged or the filter basket is deformed. If only the basket holes are clogged with limescale and coffee oils, cleaning is often enough: you will find cleaning agents and backflush accessories under Machine and grinder cleaning.
After the change, the weight ratio counts for extraction, not the time. For espresso, we usually stay below 1:2, so with 7 g of coffee, less than 14 g of espresso ends up in the cup.

Who it is made for

Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced per order and cannot be resold after installation or fitting on the machine. Please check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine before ordering – or send us a short message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.

Does the portafilter fit my Rocket?
It is designed for Rocket espresso machines with an E61 group head and a diameter of 58 mm. For the Appartamento TCA we carry dedicated TCA portafilters. If you are unsure, send us the model and serial number at [email protected].
Which filter basket is included?
A single filter basket for around 7 g of coffee. For double shots, the same portafilter is available with two spouts.
Do I need to adjust anything after the change?
Not on the portafilter itself. A new, clean filter basket can change the flow. Adjust the grind size in small steps and go by the weight ratio, for us usually below 1:2.
Can I see the product before buying?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Whether the portafilter is on site, we are happy to confirm by email in advance at [email protected].
How quickly will it be delivered?
In 2–4 working days, throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein. Click and Collect is possible in Bern and Zurich.
