Rocket water tank for the R Cinquantotto – clean water without compromise
The water tank is the part you handle most often on a machine that runs from a tank. It is filled, taken out, rinsed and put back in, day after day – and that is exactly why it is also the first part to show signs of wear.
This item is the tank for the R Cinquantotto. The manufacturer lists it as a separate version, distinct from the tanks for the other Rocket models. So if you are looking for a replacement, don't search for just any tank, but for the tank for exactly this machine.
When it's time to replace it
The clearest sign is a tank that loses water – usually at the bottom by the coupling, sometimes as a damp film under the machine that you first mistake for condensation.
On top of that come fine hairline cracks at the corners, a wall that has turned milky so that you can hardly read the water level through it, and limescale deposits that won't come off even with descaler. If fresh water smells musty after a few hours in the tank, that too is a reason to replace it rather than keep scrubbing.

Who it's for
For everyone with an R Cinquantotto whose tank has started leaking, turned cloudy or cracked. And for everyone who has taken over a used machine and wants to start afresh with the water – a new tank is the cheapest and most effective step for that.
What goes with it
For the other model series we carry the water tank for the newer models and the water tank for Giotto and Cellini in the older version. Both are expressly not compatible with the R Cinquantotto.
Inside the tank goes the filter for the water tank, and on top the tank lid with plastic insert. At the bottom of the tank sits the tank connection coupling – it is the spot where a leaking tank usually shows first.

From our workshop
In the workshop we change the water completely every morning instead of topping it up. A half-full tank left standing overnight tastes measurably flatter the next day – and otherwise the leftover water from the day before stays in there for weeks.
When we take the tank out, we never put it down on the counter but on a cloth, and we rinse it with clean water, without washing-up liquid. No tank holds back soap residue – you'll find it in your cup later. This is our routine in Bern and Zurich, not a manufacturer requirement.

Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Does this tank also fit another Rocket?
No. The manufacturer has a separate tank for the R Cinquantotto. For the other models we have the tank for the newer models and the tank for Giotto and Cellini in the older version.

Are the lid and filter included?
No, we carry both as separate items: the tank lid and the filter for the water tank. If you replace the tank, it's worth checking both at the same time.
Can I replace the tank myself?
Yes. The tank is taken out from above and put back in; there is nothing to solder and nothing to screw. Just make sure it sits properly on the connection at the bottom before you switch the machine back on.
Can I see the part before buying?
