Weber Workshops Single Dosing Bean Cellar 12 glass containers in elegant teak wood

Repeatedly opening and closing a coffee bag or storage container exposes the coffee to the outside air, leading to oxidation and staleness. Single-dose storage in the Bean Cellar® means your coffee is only exposed to air twice - once when loading it from the bag into the bean cellar and again when you're ready to grind.

Each borosilicate glass bean container is sealed with our proprietary one-way valve system that allows the CO2 from freshly roasted coffee to outgas and expel the lighter oxygen from the valve at the top of the lid.

Items included

Set of 12 borosilicate glass bean cellars and caps

Caddy made of solid teak

Solid brass handle and hardware

Stainless steel bean hopper

(Fits glass and resin bean cellars)

Rosewood and brass coffee brush

3 replacement borosilicate cellars (without caps)

Dimensions:

30 cm wide, 9 cm deep and 4 cm high

With the glass alone the height is 15.5 cm and with the brass handle it is 23 cm high.

Capacity:

Each Bean Cellar® can hold 18-22g of beans depending on bean size and roast.

The Onyx caddy is made of fire-polished oak to match the EG-1 Onyx. The brush is also flame polished to match. Because it is literally set on fire, surface defects and cracks can occur. We consider them salty, so please think about that before purchasing.

Many customers ask us whether light affects the storage of the beans. The short answer is no, as long as they are not stored in direct sunlight. Our experience and testing, as well as what our customers have said, shows that the negative effects of opening and closing a container and being exposed to fresh air again affect bean freshness by several orders of magnitude more than the ambient light in a room.
