Flair Temperature Strips – High or Low
The brew head is preheated, the window on the strip shows green. Without a thermometer you see at a glance where the temperature is – on the Flair brew head or on the milk pitcher.
Coffee Coaching Club is the official Swiss importer of Flair Espresso. The strip comes in two versions: High reads 70 to 100 °C and, according to Flair, is meant for brew heads; Low reads 25 to 65 °C for milk pitchers, steamers and frothers.
How to read the strip
The green window shows the current temperature. A tan to reddish-brown window is above it, a blue window below it.
Temperature helps decide which compounds dissolve from the coffee: higher brings more body, lower more aroma. A cold brew head draws heat from the water, which is why the Flair brew cylinder is preheated. The strip makes this step visible.
Applying
Make sure the surface is clean and dry first. Stick the strip flat onto the cylinder or another surface, without gaps or air pockets where water could seep in between surface and strip. The backing is self-adhesive and moisture resistant. Flair estimates the adhesive's life at around two years, depending on application and use.

Tip from the roastery: A properly preheated Flair brew head brings Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight to the cup dense and round, with chocolate, nuts and caramel. Very Nutty brings maximum body without acidity. If you want to discover something fruity, you will find it in Wild Peach. That is our recommendation, one of many.
