Normcore coffee scale with walnut (Pocket Scale)
Flat, handy, with a warm walnut top – the scale sits lightly in your hand and finds room on any counter. One tap of a finger is enough, and it is already tracking the weight while you brew.
A compact pocket scale with a walnut top that weighs to an accuracy of 0.1 g. From Normcore, whose official Swiss importer we are – buy in Switzerland online or in Bern and Zurich.
What makes this scale special
With 0.1 g accuracy, the scale gives you the same control over your brew ratio as larger models – you weigh beans and water and work by weight instead of by feel. Extraction by weight ratio is our preferred way to brew. For espresso, we grind fine, start at 14.5 grams and work our way up from there, usually to 17 grams, at a ratio below 1:2. That is just our view, one of many. The total capacity is 2000 g.
Stainless steel, silicone and walnut give it stability and character.

Who it is made for
For anyone who brews by weight and wants a compact scale that fits under the portafilter as well as under the pour-over – at home or on the go. Every coffee path is welcome here.
Pairs well with
The scale works hand in hand with machine and grinder: espresso machines in the coffee machine collection, grinders in the coffee grinder collection. For anyone who wants grinders that are affordable and precise: Varia or a hand grinder from Comandante. If you want more: Weber Workshops or Option-O. For pour-over and brewers, take a look at our Hario collection.
You will find more compact scales in the Normcore collection. If you are looking for a scale with an app, flow-rate display and Bluetooth, you will find it in our Acaia collection. Our advice tool helps you choose a machine.

Can I see the product before buying?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there.
Roastery tip: If you brew by weight, you taste your bean more clearly. For dense, sweet espresso we like to reach for Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight. If you like it full and round without any acidity, stay with Very Nutty; for a fruity experience, Wild Peach goes into the grinder. That is our recommendation, one of many.
