Two origins, one blend
The Brazilian Arabica is natural processed: the coffee cherry dries in the sun together with its fruit pulp, and the fruit's sugar moves into the bean. That's where cocoa, dark chocolate and the velvety fullness come from.
The Vietnamese Robusta brings body, crema and the nutty warmth reminiscent of roasted chestnuts. Together they create a blend with subtle acidity that stays round and lingers long.
The roast aromas develop in the Maillard reaction, in which sugars and protein building blocks react to form nutty and chocolatey aroma compounds. You perceive a large part of them retronasally – as you swallow, the aromas rise through the throat to the nose.

How Chestnut Delight tastes in the cup
As an espresso, the blend shows its full depth: chestnut up front, then cocoa and dark chocolate, carried by a dense crema. We extract by weight: we grind fine, start at 14.5 grams and work our way up from there, usually to 17 grams, at a ratio below 1:2.
In a cappuccino or flat white, the nutty chestnut note comes through especially clearly. Black in the filter or from the AeroPress, cocoa and dark chocolate emerge more delicately. There's no right or wrong here – the coffee has to taste good to you, and no cup is ever exactly like the last.
Who Chestnut Delight is made for
For anyone who likes dense, full-bodied coffee with chocolate and nut and is looking for little acidity – as an espresso, from a super-automatic machine, with milk or black in the filter. No prior experience needed, every coffee path is welcome.
If you like the chestnut note on its own and even bolder, you'll find it in Creamy Chestnut, our pure Robusta from Vietnam.
What you need for it
Freshly ground, every bean tastes best. Among the coffee grinders you'll find affordable and precise options such as the VS3 from Varia; if you want more room to play, have a look at the Varia VS6. For grinding by hand, there's Comandante.
For milk drinks, the barista milk pitchers include affordable, precise jugs from Normcore; if you want more, reach for Weber Workshops or Rhino. For filter, the AeroPress is a good fit. A scale helps with the ratio: compact and precise from Normcore, with app and flow display from Acaia. Our advice tool shows which grinder and machine suit your everyday routine.

From the roastery: Chestnut Delight is our blend for anyone who likes chocolate and nut together in their cup. As espresso we grind fine and work our way up from 14.5 grams, usually to 17 grams; for filter we grind coarser for a clearer cup. For the large majority, we also recommend Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, for maximum body without acidity Very Nutty – and anyone in the mood for something fruity will discover Wild Peach. That's our recommendation, one of many.
