Hario V60 Switch & Match Immersion Dripper Base – the switch that decides
A stainless steel ball sits in the base: as long as it's closed, the water stays in the dripper and the coffee steeps. One click of the lever, the ball releases – and the coffee drains. Immersion and pour-over in a single motion.
The Switch Base is the base of the Hario Switch & Match system. It is not a complete dripper, but the base onto which a ceramic dripper is placed. We carry Hario at Coffee Coaching Club.
Switch and Match
The base dictates the function – immersion or pour-through, depending on when you press the lever. The ceramic dripper on top determines the material and look. This way, you can assemble your Switch in your desired color combination; the base is available in taupe, red, green, blue, and black.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Switch Base a complete dripper?
No. It is the base and requires a compatible Switch & Match Ceramic Dripper on top. Only together do they form the complete system.
Which drippers is the base compatible with?
With the Hario V60 Switch & Match Ceramic Drippers in size 02.
How does the switch work?
A stainless steel ball closes the outlet, allowing the coffee to steep. You release the flow with the lever, and the coffee drains – you control the steeping time yourself.
Can I clean the base in the dishwasher?
We recommend cleaning it by hand to ensure the silicone and lever mechanism last a long time.
