O-ring Seal Kits (Wear Parts)
O-rings are classic wear parts and are replaced as soon as the seal deteriorates – typically after a few years. There are three suitable kits: for the Pro series (6 parts), for Classic and Standard, and the 58 series kit (7 parts) for 58, 58x, 58+ and 58+2. If an extraction loses its seal or water leaks from the brew head, a fresh O-ring is usually the simplest solution.
Portafilters and Workflow Accessories
Several portafilters are available for extraction: the bottomless portafilter for Neo, Classic and Signature provides a clear view of the extraction and helps identify channeling; in addition, there is the Pro 2 Portafilter, the Flow Control 2 Portafilter, and the Second Shot Plus Flow-Control Portafilter for Neo, Classic and Signature, which allows active flow control. Complementing these are the stainless steel tamper (Pro and Classic), the Preheat Funnel and the Filling Funnel (Classic and Signature), the Drip Tray for 58 and 58+, and the connecting hook for 58, 58+ and 58+2. The Second Shot Plus Kit is designed for consecutive extractions without a cleaning break.
Pressure and Temperature
The Flair Pressure Gauge (for PRO, Classic, Signature, 58 and 58+) and the Pressure Gauge Kit (Neo Flex, Neo Flex 2024, Classic) display the pressure during extraction – this is a pure display for orientation, not an intervention in the extraction. If you want to actively control the flow, use the Flow Control or Second Shot Plus Portafilter. The Preheat Controller (electric preheating of the brew head) ensures a constant brewing temperature for the 58 series; the power cable and the brew head spare part are compatible with it. For the Pro 2, there is the Pre-Heat Cap.

Which O-ring set fits my Flair?

How often do I need to change the seals?
O-rings are wear parts. A fixed interval cannot be given universally – they are changed as soon as the seal deteriorates, the extraction loses its seal, or water leaks from the brew head. With regular use, this usually takes several years.
What does the Preheat Controller do for the Flair 58?
It electrically preheats the brew head and keeps the temperature more constant during extraction. This makes consecutive extractions more reproducible. For the 58 and 58x, it can be retrofitted as an upgrade or spare part; the power cable and brew head spare part are compatible.
Pressure gauge or flow control portafilter – what's the difference?
The pressure gauge or Pressure Gauge Kit displays the pressure during extraction – it is a display for orientation. The flow control or Second Shot Plus portafilter, on the other hand, actively intervenes in the flow. Both complement each other: read and control.
Do I need a bottomless portafilter?
Not strictly necessary, but it provides a clear view of the extraction and makes channeling immediately visible – helpful for dialing in and for clean puck preparation. Available for Neo, Classic and Signature.
