Quietly, cold water drips onto the coffee, passes through the stainless steel filter and collects in the glass carafe – a quiet process that ends in a clear, sweet concentrate.
The Shizuku is Hario's compact, uncomplicated cold drip brewer: a high-quality glass carafe, a sturdy stainless steel filter, clear Japanese design. We carry the brand at Coffee Coaching Club.
Just like with the tall tower, cold water drips slowly through the coffee bed – without heat, barely any bitter oils are released, leaving a soft, sweet concentrate with low acidity. The Shizuku holds around 600 ml, sized for one to two people, and is simpler to set up and store than a tall brew tower. 50 paper filters are included.

For everyone who loves cold drip but wants to start compact and uncomplicated – without the large glass tower. If you want more volume and an adjustable drip valve, take a look at the Water Dripper Clear – even more compact is the Water Dripper Drop.
For cold drip you grind rather coarse – a grinder from our hand grinders or our electric coffee grinders. Accessories and filters in our Hario collection. Chocolatey, nutty beans like Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight, fruity is the Wild Peach.
Around 600 ml of cold drip concentrate – enough for one to two people.
Yes, 50 paper filters are included. Plus a sturdy stainless steel filter.
A rather coarse grind, similar to French press, so the water flows through evenly.
The Shizuku is more compact and simpler to set up; the Water Dripper Clear is the larger glass tower with an adjustable drip valve and 780 ml.
In the cold concentrate, sweet, round beans really come through – the chocolate and nutty notes of Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight. It turns vibrant and fruity with Wild Peach. That's our recommendation, one of many.
