Mahlkönig bean hopper 250 g – for E65, E80 and EK43
Fewer beans in the hopper, faster switching between coffees: the short Mahlkönig bean hopper holds 250 g and fits the E65 and E80 espresso grinders as well as the EK43 and EK43 S.
Mahlkönig lists it under part number 700995 as a complete short bean hopper. It is the compact alternative to the larger 1.2 kg and 1.8 kg hoppers.
Why a small hopper
With less coffee in the hopper, less is left behind when you switch coffees. That suits single dosing: you weigh the dose, grind it and then move straight on to the next bean.
Grinding is done by weight, not by time. With a 1:2 ratio as a starting point, every new bean can be dialled in cleanly. Each shot still remains unique, because the bean, the humidity and you yourself change every day.

Who it is made for
For everyone who regularly switches between beans on their E65, E80 or EK43, at home as well as in a café. Also as a replacement for a damaged hopper or as a second hopper next to the grinder. Some prefer to stay with the large standard hopper. Both are valid choices, our opinion is one of many.

What is the smaller hopper suited for?
For single dosing and frequent switching between coffees. Less coffee stays in the hopper, and moving on to the next bean is quicker.
