Mahlkönig Sync Scale – the scale for Grind-by-Sync
The scale sits under the cup, measures the weight and time of the shot and sends both to the grinder. The grinder adjusts the grind size for the next shot on its own.
The Sync Scale is the measuring element in the Grind-by-Sync system from Mahlkönig. It transmits the data via Wi-Fi through the Mahlkönig Cloud to the grinder. The grinder compares the shot with the stored target value and adjusts the burr gap by motor. Because the scale measures what ends up in the cup, this works with any espresso machine.
No two shots are the same: bean, humidity and how you feel that day change daily. The Sync Scale compensates for part of this automatically. We brew by weight ratio, 1:2 as a starting point, never by time alone. What counts is what you taste. Our opinion is one of many.

Who it is made for
For everyone with a Mahlkönig E64 WS, E65W GbS or E80W GbS who no longer wants to adjust the grind size by hand. The grinders also work with Grind-by-Weight without the Sync Scale; the scale adds automatic grind size adjustment. You will find all models in the Mahlkönig Collection and among our coffee grinders.
