Freshly ground coffee drops into the basket, you level it off and tamp – and during the shot, the espresso flows through calmly and clear. Hold the basket up to the light and you'll see hundreds of fine, laser-drilled holes, each one like the next.

What makes this basket
The BEP – Butterfly Effect Power – uses double-layer filtration: two stacked layers of holes catch fine particles before they reach the cup. The result is a clearer cup with less fines. The 745 laser-drilled openings, each 0.16 mm, spread the water evenly across the whole puck.
The base is reinforced to 0.8 mm and barely flexes under pressure – and that flexing is a common cause of channeling in the coffee bed. Straight walls and a flat base help with even tamping. We like to work with a 1:2 ratio, roughly 18 g of grounds to 36 g of espresso, and let the weight decide, not the stopwatch. It's our observation that basket choice changes the aroma profile fundamentally – that's our view, one of many.
