Normcore Pressure-Regulating Tamper V4.1 with Click
The moment you press, you feel the defined resistance, and then the quiet click. An acoustic signal that tells you: the pressure is right. No guessing, no feeling that changes from day to day – just the confirmation that this tamp will be like the last one.
The V4.1 builds on the proven spring-loaded system and adds an audible feedback at the pressure point.
What makes the V4.1 special
Tamping is the most invisible variable in espresso preparation. Your hand is never quite the same from day to day – sometimes stronger, sometimes more tired. The spring-loaded system takes this variable off your hands: a pre-calibrated spring always releases the same force the moment it triggers. New on the V4.1 is the click feedback, which acoustically confirms exactly that moment for you. This makes the tamp comparable from shot to shot, and that's exactly what helps with dial-in.
Three interchangeable springs are included – 15 lb, 25 lb and 30 lb, with the middle one already installed. The handle is made of anodized aluminum, the base of stainless steel with a flat bottom, and the design carries a US design patent. Whether you prefer a tamper with a click over one without stays a matter of taste – that's just our view, one of many.

Which size for which machine
53.3 / 54 mm fits Breville and Sage machines with a 54 mm portafilter. 58.5 mm fits the standard 58 mm portafilters of most espresso machines, for example from La Marzocco, Rocket, ECM, Profitec or Lelit. Every coffee path is welcome with us.
What goes with it
A Tamping Station holds the portafilter stable – it and the matching Puck Screen, WDT Tool or dosing funnel are waiting in our Normcore Collection. Anyone looking for maximum material quality in accessories should check out the Weber Workshops Collection.
Grinder and machine form the trio behind it: affordable precision in the Varia Collection, maximum clarity with Weber Workshops or Option-O. The matching espresso machine is waiting for you through our advisory tool.
Frequently asked questions about the Normcore Tamper V4.1
What does the click feedback do?
It acoustically confirms for you the moment when the spring triggers and the calibrated force is reached. So you don't have to feel the pressure point, you hear it.
Which size fits my machine?
53.3 / 54 mm for Breville and Sage machines with a 54 mm portafilter. 58.5 mm for standard 58 mm portafilters, for example from La Marzocco, Rocket, ECM, Profitec or Lelit.
Which spring should I use?
The middle 25 lb spring is pre-installed. 15 lb for a finer grind and lighter roasts, 30 lb for stronger pressure and denser pucks. All three springs are included.
Can I see the tamper before buying?
Yes, in our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zürich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b). Ordering online is the primary way, delivery throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2 to 4 working days.
Roastery tip
A tamp that's comparable shot for shot makes dial-in calmer. For dense, sweet espresso we like to reach for Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight. Anyone who likes it full and round without any acidity stays with Very Nutty; for a fruity experience, Wild Peach goes into the grinder. That's our recommendation, one of many, and every bean that tastes good to you is the right one.
