Changing beans without a shutter is a two-handed balancing act: hold the hopper with one hand, catch the remaining beans with the other, and three of them still roll across the counter. With a working shutter you press once, the supply stops, and the hopper comes off the grinder dry and empty.
This kit includes the bean shutter together with the bean hopper for the coffee grinder. The manufacturer lists it under part number C.1.513.R. Because the shutter and hopper have to grind, fit and seal together, they come as one position – and after the replacement you do not have one new half and one worn-out half.
The shutter can only be moved with force or gets stuck halfway. Beans keep trickling through even with the shutter closed. The hopper has a crack, is clouded or scratched, so you can no longer see the fill level. Or the shutter and hopper no longer fit together without play and let coffee oil escape at the joint.

For cafés that switch back and forth between a blend and a filter coffee several times a day. For roasteries with a tasting counter where a different bean is always running. And for anyone whose shutter, after years of coffee oils and bean dust, simply no longer moves smoothly.
We carry fourteen positions around the bean hopper, divided into four groups. If you are not sure which version is fitted to your grinder, take off the hopper and send us the model and serial number – we will compare instead of guessing.

Not in this series, but on the same path of the bean: the coffee funnel of the La Marzocco Jay, through which the ground coffee exits after the burrs, and the 0,2 mm flap for the Jay. Both sit below the burrs and have nothing to do with the bean supply.
More grinder parts are available in Accessories and spare parts for coffee grinders, the brand at a glance in Accessories and spare parts for La Marzocco, and everything from our service stock in Service parts. To keep the new hopper clear, machine and grinder cleaning belongs with it.
Bar tip from Bern and Zurich
Our own routine, not a manufacturer's specification: we never clean bean hoppers in the dishwasher, but dry with a brush and cloth, and only when the grease is really resinous, briefly with lukewarm water and drying immediately. Heat and cleaning agents make plastic milky, and then the fill level can no longer be read. After the change, we grind two portions through and throw them away – after that the new bean really tastes like itself. We then like to put Nutty Delight in the hopper, Cozy Chocolate for sweetness and Very Nutty for punch. The full selection is in our coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured to order and cannot be resold after being installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Yes. The kit is listed as one position under part number C.1.513.R and contains the shutter and bean hopper together.
Not every one. Send us the serial number of your grinder and we will check before you order whether this position is the right one.
Usually bean dust or resinous coffee oil sits in the guide, so the shutter does not close completely. If this cannot be cleaned away, the guide is worn out and replacement is due.
The kit sits on top of the grinder and is accessible without touching the electrics. Still, disconnect the grinder from the power first, and get in touch with us if something jams when removing it.
Yes. We are in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Let us know shortly beforehand and we will have the part ready.
