Connected Scale – what that means in practice
The Acaia X runs on La Marzocco-specific firmware. It communicates directly with the machine via the La Marzocco Home App. Brew-by-Weight automatically stops the shot at the target weight – a drip algorithm calculates the post-flow time to ensure the result in the cup is accurate and not just the display at the moment of stopping. Grind-by-Weight stops the Pico grinder at the target weight. Two separate target weights can be stored. Auto-tare during brewing. Plug-and-play – no upgrade, no firmware process, no license.
