The quiet rotary pump and programmable volumetric control make it a silent workhorse. ECM is a German manufacturer based in Bammental near Heidelberg and produces by hand in Germany and Italy.

A stainless steel boiler with a heat exchanger supplies both brewing and steam simultaneously – so you can extract and froth milk at the same time. The boiler is insulated.

Roastery Tip
With a heat exchanger, a short blank shot through the brew group (a so-called cooling flush) before the first shot is worthwhile, so that the water does not run into the portafilter too hot. This is our recommendation, one of many.
