ECM countertop stand for accessories – powder-coated steel holder
In the morning your hand reaches for the same spot without searching, and everything is right where it was yesterday.
It sounds like a small thing, yet it noticeably changes the routine. An espresso ritual takes around five minutes, and in those five minutes you reach for something eight or ten times. When every reach lands, your mind stays on the coffee instead of on searching. The psychology behind it is unspectacular and effective: routines that run without friction are remembered as more pleasant – and memory rubs off on taste.
What it holds
The stand holds two portafilters, a tamper, a brush and a steam tip. That covers exactly the parts that have to sit somewhere between two shots and otherwise wander around the worktop.
It's made of powder-coated steel – heavy enough to stay put when you hang a portafilter in it, and resistant to the moisture that's always part of a coffee station. An ECM laser engraving sits discreetly in the material. At 185 mm long, 115 mm wide and 213 mm high, its footprint stays small.
The accessories shown are not included. And to be honest: nobody needs a stand to make good espresso. You want it because the counter looks different afterwards. That's a perfectly legitimate reason, and our opinion is one of many.

Who it's made for
For anyone who works with more than one portafilter – say a bottomless one to watch the extraction and one with a spout for two cups at once. And for anyone whose coffee corner has grown over time and could now use some order.
The stand is an ECM accessory, but it works with whatever you have. If you're just starting to set up your station, it makes just as much sense as it does after years – no budget is merely a starting point.
What goes well with it
If there's a spot for the tamper, it's worth thinking about which one should go there. For anyone who wants an affordable, precise tamper: the Spring-Loaded Tamper from Normcore. If you want more, go for the tamper from Weber Workshops.
A scale belongs on the counter too, because espresso is described by brew ratio, for us usually below 1:2. The scales from Normcore are affordable and precise; those from Acaia come with an app and flow-rate display. And to keep the group head playing along: backflush daily without detergent and about every fifty shots with detergent, which takes around five minutes – you'll find what you need under machine and grinder cleaning.

From the roastery
A tidy station invites you to pull two shots in a row more often – once as usual, once with a different grind setting. With Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight you can see very clearly how body and sweetness shift. Very Nutty brings maximum body without any acidity, and Wild Peach is for anyone who wants to discover something fruity. That's our recommendation, one of many.
