A red porcelain cone on the glass carafe, a paper filter in place, hot water poured in circular motions – and the coffee runs clear into the pot. A good start in Pour Over doesn't need more than that.
The set brings along everything you need for the classic hand pour, matched to each other and in the iconic V60 shape. We carry Hario at Coffee Coaching Club.
The V60 filter holder in size 01 is made of porcelain and holds the heat well – that makes the extraction more even. The conical 60-degree shape guides the water toward the centre of the coffee bed, and the spiral ribs lift the filter away from the wall so the coffee drains evenly. It comes with a pack of paper filters in size 01 and a glass carafe with red accents. Size 01 is designed for 1 to 2 cups.

For everyone starting out with Pour Over who wants a matched set that works right away. If you regularly brew for several people, take a look at the larger size 02 – like the V60 NEO 02.
The biggest difference comes from a grinder – freshly ground, Pour Over tastes clearer. Take a look at the hand grinders or the electric grinders collection. A scale with timer from the Normcore lineup or the Acaia collection and a kettle from the Varia collection round out the setup. Restock paper filters in the Hario collection. Fresh beans like the fruity Wild Peach or the round Nutty Delight.
Size 01 is designed for 1 to 2 cups. For larger amounts, size 02 is the better fit.
Hario V60 paper filters in size 01, white or natural. You'll find refills in the Hario collection.
Porcelain holds the heat longer and doesn't affect the taste. For that, it should be briefly preheated with hot water before brewing.
Warm the porcelain filter holder before brewing with the rinse water from the filter – that way the temperature drops less during pouring and the extraction stays more even. It turns out beautifully light and clear with Wild Peach. That's our recommendation, one among many.
