IMS E61200RNT Shower Screen – E&B Lab precision shower for your E61 group head
Before the water even touches the coffee, it spreads out across the shower screen. How evenly that happens plays a part in whether the extraction runs calm and round. The E61200RNT from IMS's E&B Lab series is designed exactly for this even distribution.
It combines an ultra-fine, photo-etched 200 µm membrane with a highly hardened steel support plate and is perforated all the way across – so there's no dead spot in the centre. The NanoQuartz Reinforced coating keeps the surface non-stick, so fewer coffee residues cling to it and cleaning is often a simple wipe.

RNT, NT or IM – what's the difference?
The RNT is perforated all the way across (127 holes) and fitted with the reinforced NanoQuartz Reinforced coating – the premium model in the E&B Lab series. The NT has a small blind spot in the centre, 98 holes and the standard NanoQuartz coating. The IM corresponds to the standard competition screen with a blind spot and 98 holes, but without the nano coating.
Compatibility
Fits all E61 group heads, including Ascaso, Astoria, Bezzera, BFC, Bianchi, Brasilia, ECM, Expobar, Faema, Fiorenzato, Gaggia, Kees van der Westen, La Marzocco (certain models), Lelit, Nuova Simonelli, Profitec (E61), Rocket, Sanremo, Victoria Arduino, VBM Vibiemme, Wega and many more.
Who it's for
For anyone who wants to get the most even extraction possible out of their E61 machine and appreciates a low-maintenance shower screen. Whether you notice the difference strongly or subtly also depends on the starting condition of your previous screen – our opinion is one of many. You'll find matching machines in our Coffee Machines, and cleaning products in our Machine & Grinder Cleaning.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to adjust the grind size after switching?
Possibly. Some people set the grind size a touch finer after switching, to compensate for the more even water distribution. Work your way there in small steps.
How do I install the shower screen?
Heat up the machine briefly so the rubber gasket softens. Carefully pry out the old shower screen, fit the IMS screen into the gasket, and then check the water distribution.
How do I clean it?
Thanks to the NanoQuartz coating, a simple wipe is often enough. Clean it regularly with warm water and a soft cloth, and if needed, soak it in coffee degreaser every 2–4 weeks.
How quickly is it available?
Order directly online: delivery across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2–4 business days. Click & Collect available in Bern and Zürich Oerlikon.
