Kinu M47 Simplicity – Hand Grinder with 47mm Conical Burr
A quiet rotation, the even crunch of the beans, and the grounds fall finely into the catch cup – the same grind quality as the M47 series, slightly lighter in the hand.
The M47 Simplicity brings the 47mm burr set of the series into a lighter version: hopper and catch cup made of plastic, plus the self-centering axle and thumb stopper. In our Coffee Coaching Club, you'll find the entire M47 family.
Same Grinder, Lighter Build
The 47mm conical burr made of stainless steel with Black-Fusion coating is the same as in the Classic – same even particle distribution, same stepless, numbered adjustment. The hopper and catch cup are made of ABS plastic instead of stainless steel, which makes the grinder a bit lighter.
Self-Centering and Grip
The self-centering axle is held by two vertical steel parts and runs smoothly; the thumb stopper provides a secure grip while cranking. Grinding by hand creates no heat and hardly any static charge – the grounds fall loosely into the cup.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Simplicity have the same burr as the Classic?
Yes, the same 47mm conical burr made of stainless steel with Black-Fusion coating. The difference lies in the material of the hopper and catch cup: ABS plastic instead of stainless steel.
What is the difference between Simplicity and Phoenix?
The Simplicity has a self-centering axle and a thumb stopper. The Phoenix dispenses with this, uses a five-point plastic system and is lighter.
Is it suitable for espresso and filter?
Yes. The stepless grinder covers the range from fine for espresso to coarse for filter and French Press.
How much coffee does it hold?
The hopper holds about 40 to 50 grams of beans, enough for about four servings of espresso or filter coffee.
Can I see the grinder before buying?
Gladly. In our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) you can experience the grinder live. Bringing your own beans is welcome.
Roastery Tip
The 47mm conical burr brings body and clarity at the same time. For a round, chocolatey-nutty espresso, take Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight, for maximum body without acidity Very Nutty. If you are looking for a brighter, fruity profile in your filter, try Wild Peach – approach it in small steps. This is our recommendation, one of many.
