The spout that makes the stream fall centred into the cup again
The spout is the last stop the espresso passes before it lands in the cup. On the classic portafilter it is screwed firmly to the underside of the body, and as long as it is clean, the stream falls steadily and centred. This version has one spout, so it is intended for single shots.
Over the years, coffee oils build up in the channel, and after a fall the spout is often slightly bent. The stream then falls at an angle, splashes onto the rim of the cup or keeps dripping after the shot. We do not know of a part number for this part: it is neither in our service parts list nor in the catalogue we otherwise take the numbers from. We do not make one up – send us the model and serial number and we will identify the part.
When it is due
- The stream falls at an angle or to the side instead of straight down.
- The espresso splashes onto the rim of the cup.
- After the shot, it keeps dripping for longer than usual.
- The spout is visibly bent or chipped.
- Coffee leaks out at the thread to the portafilter body.

Who it's for
For anyone with a classic La Marzocco portafilter whose espresso no longer falls cleanly into the cup. And for anyone who wants a single spout to hand alongside the double spout, to pull single shots cleanly into one cup.
If you want to pull two cups at once, take the spout with two outlets; if you want to see the extraction, take the bottomless portafilter.
Goes well with
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
When the stream becomes unsteady at our places in Bern and Zurich, we first unscrew the spout and leave it overnight in a cleaning solution for coffee oils – surprisingly often the stream is back to normal afterwards and no new part is needed at all. This is our routine, not a manufacturer specification. To check, we pull an espresso with Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight; if you like it stronger, go for Very Nutty. You'll find them all under Coffee beans.
No returns
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured to order and cannot be resold once they have been fitted or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will check the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
How can I tell that the spout should be replaced?
When the stream no longer falls centred and steady, splashes to the side or keeps dripping for a long time, and a thorough cleaning no longer helps.
Does this spout fit my machine?
It belongs on the classic La Marzocco portafilter. Exactly which model series these are is not documented to us – send us the model and serial number and we will check.
What is the difference from the double spout?
This one has one outlet and fills one cup; the other has two and fills two cups at the same time. We stock both separately.
What is the part number of this part?
We do not know of a number for this spout, and we do not make one up. If you have a number from service documentation, send it to us to cross-check.
Can I see the part in your showroom?
Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range – the display changes. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit, and we will check whether the product you have in mind is currently there.
