The knob that guides the steam on the Linea PB
The steam valve of the Linea PB has a rotary knob that gets turned twice for every milk drink. It transfers the movement of your hand to the valve spindle and has to stay easy to grip, even when your fingers are wet and everything around it is steaming.
After years, the mount wears out: the knob slips, sits crooked or develops cracks. Closing the valve then becomes a matter of luck, and a steam wand that keeps dripping often has its cause right here. Part number F.1.034.01 belongs to the rotary knob of the Linea PB steam valve.
When it's due
- The knob slips without turning the valve.
- It sits crooked or has noticeable play on the spindle.
- The plastic is cracked or chipped.
- The valve no longer closes cleanly up to the stop.

Goes well with
From our workshop
When a steam knob slips, in Bern and Zurich we always check the spindle first before replacing the knob – often the square socket has worn round and the knob alone isn't to blame. That's our own sequence, not a manufacturer specification. We test the milk with Very Nutty, and you'll find all our other beans under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Is the cap included?
No. We stock the knob cap as a separate part.
Does the knob also fit the GB5?
Number F.1.034.01 is for the Linea PB. For other model series, send us the serial number.
My valve drips. Is a new knob enough?
Only if the knob slips. If it keeps dripping, the cause is the seal or the valve seat.
Do I need special tools?
Usually not. Work on the machine when it is cold and switched off.
Can I see the part in the showroom?
Yes. In Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b.
