La Marzocco Shower for LEVA – Original Shower Screen
The lever goes down, the water flows out, and for a few seconds it's decided how finely the aromas are released from the coffee puck. This distribution starts at a single small disc directly above the basket – the shower screen.
Original La Marzocco shower screen for the La Marzocco Leva in the earlier version with part number A.5.075. The shower screen distributes the hot water evenly over the entire surface of the coffee puck before the actual extraction begins. If the distribution is uneven, part of the puck extracts faster than the rest – you can taste it in the cup, even when the grind size and brew ratio are right.
The Leva works with a saturated group and PID temperature control – the shower screen is the last point where the water is still shaped before it meets the puck. Replacing a wear part is simply part of it – part of caring for a machine you don't own because you need it, but because you want to feel the lever in your hand. When exactly a change makes sense is, for us, one assessment among many – in the end, what counts is what ends up in your cup.

When should I replace the shower screen?
When the water stream becomes uneven or the screen is scaled up or damaged. A look during backflushing is usually enough to judge its condition.
Is there also a newer version of this shower screen?
Yes. La Marzocco offers this shower screen in two original versions: the earlier version shown here with part number A.5.075, and a newer version with part number A.5.075.01, which has additional cut-outs for a spring in the brew group. Which version fits your Leva depends on the year of manufacture. It's best to compare it with the screen currently fitted, or briefly tell us the year of manufacture or serial number of your machine – then we'll confirm the fit before you order. You'll find the newer version separately in our range.
Is this an original La Marzocco spare part?
Yes. La Marzocco has been building its machines by hand in Florence since 1927, and this shower screen is an original spare part from the same production.
Can I see the product before buying?

How do I replace the shower screen?
Replacing it is one of the smaller maintenance steps on the brew group and can be done with few tools. If you're unsure, we're happy to show you the process with a short guide.
