What makes this basket special
It is an original La Marzocco basket for the Leva – the lever machine from Florence, whose saturated brew group maintains temperature and pressure particularly steadily. A precise, even basket distributes the water cleanly over the puck and turns the slow lever pull into a round, clear cup. Espresso is extraction via a weight ratio, usually 1:2; for 14g, this means around 28g in the cup. Taste and smell are inseparable; a large part arises retronasally. It is our observation that the choice of basket fundamentally changes the aroma profile.
