What makes this basket special
It's an original La Marzocco basket from Florence, manufactured with a hole analysis certificate (comparable to VST in its approach): the perforation is measured and checked for uniformity, so that the water is evenly distributed throughout the puck – the basis for a clean, round extraction. On your La Marzocco's saturated group head, which maintains temperature particularly stably, this pays off twice over. Espresso is extraction by weight ratio, usually 1:2; taste and smell are inseparable, a large part arising retronasally. It is our observation that the choice of basket fundamentally changes the aroma profile.
