The lid that keeps your tank water clean
The water tank is the only place in the machine you look into every day. That is exactly why everything in the air ends up there as soon as the lid is missing or no longer closes flush – coffee dust, milk splashes, and insects in summer.
This large lid belongs to the tank of the Strada EP 1AV and has the part number A.7.005. It is an inexpensive plastic part that you can replace without tools.
When it is due
Replace the lid if one of these applies:
- It is broken or has a crack.
- It no longer sits flat and the tank is left open.
- The plastic is warped, for example from heat from above.
- Deposits can no longer be wiped off.

From our workshop
In our showrooms, we rinse water tanks once a week with hot water only and dry them with a clean cloth – no washing-up liquid, because residues are stubborn and can be tasted in the espresso. This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. To cross-check, we then pull an espresso, often with the Very Nutty, because off-flavours stand out immediately in it.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will work out the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Does the lid also fit the GS3 or Linea Mini?
No, we stock separate lids for those. This one is the lid for the Strada EP 1AV.
Is a seal included?
No. The lid is supplied; seals are separate items.
Can I change it myself?
Yes, it is simply lifted off and put on. You do not need any tools.
How do I know whether I need the large or the small lid?
Measure the tank opening or send us a photo with the serial number, and we will tell you which one fits.
Can I pick up the part from your showroom?
Yes. We have two showrooms: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a quick message telling us which part you need, and we will have it ready and look at it together on your machine.
