The inner burr comes off its carrier, without force
The inner burr sits on its carrier and is held by screws and a press fit. After months of use, the gap is filled with coffee oil that hardens like varnish. If you then pry it off, you'll warp either the burr or the carrier – and a warped carrier makes every new burr worthless.
This tool pulls the burr off evenly and parallel. The payoff shows at the first adjustment after the change: you can find the grind setting cleanly instead of shifting it back and forth forever.
When you need it
When changing the inner burr, during a thorough service of the grinding mechanism, and when the grind stays uneven despite a new outer burr.

Who it's for
For businesses and service technicians who change burrs themselves instead of sending in the grinder for every set.
What goes with it
The same job also involves the holder for the inner burr, the conical inner burrs Ø 83 mm for the SWAN and the extruder ejection cone of the SWAN. More grinder parts are available under Coffee grinder accessories and spare parts and in the Original spare parts section.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich
Before removal, we mark the position of the burr carrier with a line. That way, after the change you find the old range again in two moves instead of searching for the grind setting from zero. This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement. Cleaning is done dry, with Puly Grind Verde and the brush; more products are available under Machine and grinder cleaning. Afterwards we dial in on a Nutty Delight, sometimes on the Cozy Chocolate or the Very Nutty. The full range is available under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the appliance. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
Which grinder is UT030 intended for?
Our documentation lists the tool without a grinder model, so we don't name one. Write to us with the grinder you have and we'll check the fit.
Do I also need UT369?
UT030 is for the inner burr, UT369 for the outer one. If you change both burrs, you work with both tools.
Are burrs included?
No, the tool is supplied on its own.
What material is it made of?
We have no information on that. The only reliable reference is the part number UT030.
Can I pick up the part from your shop?
Yes. We're in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a line with the part you need and we'll have it ready.
Questions about the fit? Write to us at [email protected]. We deliver across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2-4 working days.
