Mahlkönig E80 Supreme – 80 mm Espresso Grinder for Continuous Operation
Lunchtime rush, a queue stretching to the door, yet every shot is consistent: the beans fall into the 80 mm grinding mechanism, a quiet hum, and after about three seconds, the dose for a double shot is in the portafilter – cup after cup with the same grind. The E80 Supreme is built precisely for this pace under load.
It is the fastest espresso grinder in its class and is a direct descendant of the legendary Peak. As a Mahlkönig partner, we will align the E80 Supreme with your business and assist you with the initial setup.
What makes the E80 Supreme special
Disc Distance Detection (DDD)
You set the grind size by the actual distance between the grinding discs – readable on the display in micrometers. A proven setting can be precisely retrieved at any time, even after cleaning or disc replacement.
80 mm Special Steel
The grinding discs feature a specially developed tooth geometry for a uniform grind, even in fine espresso ranges – the basis for clean extraction.
Speed Under Load
6–7 grams per second at 250 µm, a double shot in about three seconds. Even during peak hours, the E80 remains effortlessly efficient.
Active Cooling
Two fans regulate the temperature in the grinding chamber and keep the ground coffee below approx. 50 °C. This ensures the grind size remains stable over many shots.
Illuminated, Adjustable Spout
The spout adjusts to the portafilter and is illuminated – the coffee grounds land centrally where they belong.
3.5" Display
High-resolution and readable from a wide angle. It shows the disc distance, guides through grinding modes, and stores two timed doses plus a manual one.
Additionally, the E80 runs comparatively quietly – a detail that is noticeable throughout the day in an open café environment. With espresso, there is no "right" or "wrong": grind size, dose, and ratio are adjustment screws with which you can meet your taste. A common starting point is 1:2, i.e., about 18 g of coffee grounds to about 36 g of espresso.
