Where the I189D burrs emphasize body and texture, the I200D meticulously brings out individual aromas – especially with light to medium roasts and for filter coffee.
As a Mazzer partner, we offer the I200D as original Mazzer burrs manufactured in Scorzè near Venice. They are the suitable interchangeable profile for the Mazzer Philos.
Precisely manufactured, flat stainless steel grinding burrs for an even particle distribution – from espresso to filter to batch brew.
The cutting profile cleanly separates aromas: distinct fruit and floral notes, balanced, pleasant acidity, and medium body. The choice for light to medium roasts and filter coffee.
Manufactured at the Mazzer factory near Venice under in-house quality controls – designed for consistent performance and durability.
Fresh, sharp burrs grind more uniformly, reduce outliers in particle distribution, and give you more control over extraction – especially with light profiles. With espresso, there is no "right" or "wrong": grind size, dose, and ratio are parameters you can adjust to achieve your preferred taste.

The I200D burrs are made for the Mazzer Philos; you can find the grinder, canister, and accessories in our Mazzer collection. Lighter bean profiles from our coffee bean selection pair well with them. For puck preparation, a WDT tool from the Normcore range is recommended.
Unsure about switching or adjusting? Come by, we'll show you how to change them and help you re-adjust the grinder together.

Fresh burrs noticeably change the grind size – after changing, it's best to start a little finer and work your way to your setting over two or three extractions. With the I200D, a lighter profile like Wild Peach or Bright Cassis is worthwhile, as their fruit and acidity will come out more clearly; for more sweetness and body, Nutty Delight and Cozy Chocolate remain reliable. You can find all beans in our coffee bean selection. This is our recommendation, one of many.
The I200D are designed for clarity and balance (light to medium roasts, filter, fine acidity), while the I189D are designed for body and texture (classic espresso, medium to dark roasts). Both are 64mm flat burrs manufactured by Mazzer.
The I200D is the grinding burr profile for the Mazzer Philos. If you are unsure whether they fit your setup, just ask us – we'll be happy to help.
On the Philos, the grinding chamber is accessible without tools: remove the front panel, loosen two wing nuts, swap the burrs, reassemble everything. Recalibration is not necessary; after changing, briefly check the grind and adjust if necessary.
