What makes this tamping mat special
The mat gives the portafilter a firm footing while tamping and protects the worktop from splashes and scratches. A recess holds the tamper when it's not in use. It's made from food-grade silicone rubber that withstands daily use and is dishwasher safe.
At 240 × 190 mm it offers enough space for portafilter and accessories and is compatible with 54 and 58 mm accessories. Whether you prefer white or black is a matter of taste, and that's just our view, one of many.

A calm spot helps with tamping, the bean does the rest. For a dense, sweet espresso we like to reach for Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight. If you like it full and round without any acidity, stick with Very Nutty; for a fruity experience, Wild Peach goes into the grinder.
