Normcore V5 Spring-Loaded Tamper – Titanium-Coated
A turn of the ring, a quiet snap, and the pressure is selected. You insert the tamper into the portafilter, press, hear the click – and know that this force is exactly what you set. The dark titanium surface gives the tool its calm presence.
The V5 goes a step further than models with interchangeable springs: the pressure can be selected directly on the tamper in increments.
What makes the V5 special
Instead of changing springs, you select the pressure by turning – six levels from 10.5 to 15.5 kg. A patented Tri-Spring system with three synchronously working springs ensures uniform compression, an audible click and a tactile snap confirm each change. This way, the V5 removes the variable of inconsistent tamping from shot to shot, making it comparable.
The body is CNC-machined aluminum with an anodized handle, the stainless steel base has a titanium PVD coating that is smooth and reduces coffee powder adhesion. The base is interchangeable, and a silicone stand is included. Whether you prefer stepless spring selection or direct pressure selection is a matter of taste, and that's just our view, one of many.
