Torre Teresina RS – Heat Exchanger Espresso Machine with Rotary Pump
Steam and espresso at the same time, no waiting in between: while the cup is filling, the steam wand is already ready for the milk foam – the rhythm of a machine built for several cups in a row.
The Torre Teresina RS is a heat exchanger portafilter espresso machine, handcrafted south of Milan. A large stainless steel boiler, a quiet rotary pump and the E61 group with ERGOLIFT lever make it a calm, reliable presence on the counter.
Heat exchanger and rotary pump
The 2.3-litre boiler in AISI 316 stainless steel houses an internal heat exchanger: this lets the Teresina RS deliver espresso, steam and hot water at the same time, just like at the bar. The rotary pump runs quietly and evenly and can be operated from a tank or a direct water connection. Two pressure gauges show boiler and pump pressure, and a solid-state relay controls the heating reliably.
E61 with ERGOLIFT
The E61 group with thermosiphon circulation keeps the brewing temperature stable, and the ERGOLIFT lever moves smoothly and ergonomically. With espresso, there's no right or wrong – grind size, dose and ratio get you there, and a good starting point is 1:2. Chrome-plated aluminium feet, a large cup tray and a removable tank and drip tray round out everyday use.
We work alongside Torre as a partner. Our opinion is one of many.

What goes with it
A machine is only as good as what's freshly ground next to it. Fresh grinding happens with our coffee grinders – affordable and precise from the Varia range, finely engineered with the Weber Workshops EG-1. For dose and ratio, a scale: compact from the Normcore range or with an app from the Acaia collection. For even tamping there's a Tamper. Not sure about the combination? Our machine and grinder consultation can help.
Frequently asked questions
What does heat exchanger mean for the Teresina RS?
It has a boiler with an internal heat exchanger and delivers espresso, steam and hot water at the same time – ideal when several milk drinks are made one after another.
Tank or direct water connection?
Both. The rotary pump on the 2.3-litre system can run from a tank or from a direct water connection.
How does it differ from a single boiler machine like the Pierino?
The single boiler machine brews and steams one after the other, the heat exchanger machine does both at once. More on this in our machine and grinder consultation.
Which grinder do you recommend with it?
An espresso grinder with fine adjustment. Affordable, the Varia range; for more grind pattern control, the Weber Workshops EG-1 – both in our coffee grinders.
Can I see the Teresina RS before buying?
Of course. In our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zürich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) you can experience it in person. Delivery throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2 to 4 working days.
Roastery tip
Fresh coffee makes the difference. Full-bodied and chocolatey with Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight. For maximum body without acidity, the Very Nutty, for a brighter, fruity profile, the Wild Peach. That's our recommendation, one of many.
