The 58mm Dosing Ring from Weber Workshops is a black anodised dosing ring that lets you dose directly into a 58mm Buck or Unifilter portafilter. According to Weber, it fits all Blind Shakers and Tumblers, which are not included. Coffee Coaching Club is the official Swiss importer of Weber Workshops.
How does the dosing ring work?
You place the ring on the portafilter and stack the Blind Shaker or Blind Tumbler on top. Then you release the grounds, and they land directly in your filter medium. This is how Weber describes it: the ring fits shaker and tumbler exactly, so you can stack both and release the grounds cleanly.
A dosing ring isn't a must. Anyone who works with a Blind Shaker or Tumbler appreciates it, because it makes the routine between grinder and tamper calmer. Our opinion is one of many.
Does the ring fit my portafilter?
