Rocket Fausto complete bean hopper – the supply for the grinder that never stands still
The Fausto is the larger of the two, and its bean hopper is built accordingly: flap open, a generous load of beans, then the familiar trickle downwards. On days with lots of shots, this part gets handled often.
Because it gets handled often, it is also the part that tires first. A hopper with play, a catch that no longer clicks into place, a crack at the edge – all reasons to replace it rather than work around it.
When it's time
It's time when it no longer sits firmly, when the catch no longer closes cleanly, when cracks are visible or when bean dust escapes at the transition to the grinding mechanism.
Before that, it's worth checking the rubber sealing ring under the hopper: if the hopper only sits loosely, the ring is often the cause rather than the hopper itself. For the Fausto, we stock it separately.

Who it's for
For anyone with a Fausto in daily use whose hopper has developed play or whose catch is getting weak. No tools needed, the swap takes seconds.
And for businesses that keep a second hopper on hand to switch beans during the rush without decanting.
We can't give a part number for this part: our documents list the item without a number, and we don't make one up. If you have a number from a service document in front of you, send it to us – then we'll check it instead of guessing.
The bean hoppers and their parts in our catalogue
We stock fourteen items around the bean hopper, split into four groups. If you're not sure which version is on your grinder, take the hopper off and send us the model and serial number – we'll check it instead of guessing.
Complete bean hoppers from Rocket, three items: Complete bean hopper for the Rocket Faustino at CHF 69.30; complete bean hopper for the Rocket Fausto at CHF 89.75 – that is, this product; Complete bean hopper for the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 74.65.
Complete bean hoppers from La Marzocco, four items: Complete bean hopper for the La Marzocco Pico at CHF 111.54; Complete bean hopper for the La Marzocco Swift Mini at CHF 240.68; Complete bean hopper for the La Marzocco Jay, part number 1074 at CHF 205.92; Bean slide gate kit with bean hopper from La Marzocco, part number C.1.513.R at CHF 115.39.
Lids for the bean hopper, four items: Lid for the bean hopper of the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 21.55; Lid for the bean hopper of the La Marzocco Pico at CHF 23.21; Lid for the bean hopper of the La Marzocco Jay, part number C.2.091.R at CHF 33.66; two-piece lid for the bean hopper from La Marzocco, part number F.1.177 at CHF 38.39.
Slide gates and sealing rings on the hopper, three items: Slide gate for the bean hopper of the Rocket Faustino V2 at CHF 4.95; Rubber ring for the bean hopper of the Rocket Faustino, part number R8G4996889 at CHF 11.00; Rubber sealing ring for the bean hopper of the Rocket Fausto, part number R8G4995938 at CHF 8.80.
Not in this series, but on the same path as the beans: the coffee chute of the La Marzocco Jay, through which the ground coffee exits after the grinding mechanism, and the 0,2 mm flap for the Jay. Both sit below the grinding mechanism and have nothing to do with the bean supply.
What goes with it
For the Fausto there are the rubber sealing ring for the bean hopper and the 65 mm burrs; for the larger version we stock the 75 mm burrs of the Super Fausto.
The overview is in Rocket Faustino and Fausto spare parts, alongside Rocket accessories and spare parts and the Service parts.
A hopper swap is a good moment for grinder cleaning – at our place usually with Puly Grind.
The workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
In Bern and Zurich we take the hopper swap as an opportunity to clean the bean path dry once: hopper off, wipe it out with a dry cloth, let the grinding mechanism run empty. Nothing on the grinder gets wet, and oil from old beans doesn't remain as a film. This is our routine from the workshop and not a manufacturer requirement. For the supply up top, in the workshop we reach for Nutty Delight and Cozy Chocolate, and for maximum body without acidity, Very Nutty; the full selection is in our coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fit on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Frequently asked questions
How many beans does the Fausto's hopper hold?
Our documents don't say. That's why we don't state a capacity, not even a rounded figure.
Does this hopper also fit the Faustino?
No. The item name refers to the Fausto, and we stock separate items for the Faustino and the Faustino V2.
If the hopper no longer sits firmly, does it have to be replaced?
Not necessarily. First check the rubber sealing ring under the hopper, which we stock separately. If the ring is hard or cracked, the hopper will sit firmly again once the ring has been replaced.
What is the part number for this part?
We don't know it. Our documents list this item without a part number, and we don't write down one we can't back up. Send us the number from your service document, and we'll confirm the fit.
Can I look at the part in your showroom?
Yes. In Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b, service parts are available, and we'll check together with you whether the version fits your grinder.
Not sure whether the part fits your grinder? Write to us at [email protected] with the model and serial number, and we'll check the fit together. We deliver across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2-4 working days.
