Hario Coffee Siphon NEXT 600 ml – A Modern Vacuum Brewer
The flame beneath the glass sphere, the quiet bubbling, the water climbing upward – and at the end, the clear pull back down into the pot: the NEXT brings the siphon spectacle into a clean, modern frame.
The NEXT is a contemporary take on the siphon: the same fascinating brew through heat and vacuum, in a clear form. We carry Hario at Coffee Coaching Club.
How the Siphon Works
In the lower globe, the heat creates steam pressure that pushes the water upward, where the coffee steeps. Take the heat away, and the vacuum that forms pulls the finished coffee back down through the filter – clear like a filter coffee, with full body. The NEXT runs on the included alcohol burner or with the optional infrared heater.

Who It's For
For everyone who wants the siphon in a modern design and appreciates a clear, aromatic cup for several people. More elegant is the Sommelier; more compact and classic the Technika.
What Goes With It
A medium grind from a grinder in our hand grinders or our electric coffee grinders, a scale from our Normcore lineup and the optional infrared heater for repeatable heat. Replacement filters in the Hario collection. Aromatic beans like Nutty Delight or the fruity Wild Peach.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the NEXT heated?
With the included alcohol burner or with the optional Hario infrared heater, which regulates the heat steplessly.
Which filters are included?
A cloth and a metal filter are included. Replacement cloth filters are available in the Hario collection.
How does the NEXT differ from the Sommelier?
Both brew identically by vacuum. The NEXT has a more modern frame design, the Sommelier a more elegant, classic form.
Roastery Tip
The clear, full siphon cup pairs beautifully with the round notes of Nutty Delight or, lively and fruity, with the Wild Peach. Medium grind as a starting point. This is our recommendation, one among many.
