AeroPress Clear – coffee press made of clear Tritan

Through the clear body you see the water flow into the coffee grounds, then you press the plunger down in one smooth motion. The AeroPress Clear is available from us online and in Bern and Zürich.

The chamber and plunger are made of Tritan: clear like glass, but shatterproof, BPA-free and dishwasher safe. Brewing principle and size match the AeroPress Original, which is made of grey-tinted polypropylene. The Clear comes in Clear as well as Blue, Green, Pink, Purple, Red and Black.

    3-in-1 brew technology

Part French press, part pour-over, part espresso: the AeroPress combines immersion with air pressure and micro-filtration. This lets it brew faster, the coffee does not over-extract, and the cup stays free of grit.

    Built for travel

Compact, lightweight and shatterproof – for coffee on the road, at the office or outdoors.

Pour in water, press, pop out the coffee puck and give the press a quick rinse.

How to brew with the AeroPress Clear

AeroPress's starting point: one heaping scoop of medium-fine ground coffee, hot water up to mark 4, stir for 10 seconds, then press. The press does not heat water, so a kettle is part of the setup. With a scale you can record the ratio of coffee to water and adjust it deliberately.

Press directly into a sturdy mug or carafe with an inner diameter of 67 to 95 mm, not into thin-walled glass. AeroPress advises against the inverted method because the press stands less stably that way.

    Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the AeroPress Clear and the AeroPress Original?

The material: the Clear is made of clear, shatterproof Tritan and comes in several colours, the Original of grey-tinted polypropylene. Brewing principle and filters are identical.

Which filters fit the AeroPress Clear?

AeroPress paper filters in standard size, the same format as for the Original. Paper filters are included; replacements are available in the AeroPress collection.

Is the AeroPress Clear dishwasher safe?

Yes, according to AeroPress in both the top and bottom rack. It is also BPA-free.

Can I see the AeroPress Clear live before buying?

That depends on whether the AeroPress Clear is currently on display. In our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zürich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) we show a wide selection, but not the entire range. Write to us before your visit at [email protected]. If you order online, we deliver within 2–4 working days throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein.

Tip from the roastery: In the AeroPress, full-bodied roasts such as Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight show their chocolate and nut notes. If you are looking for maximum body without acidity, choose Very Nutty; for a fruity cup there is Wild Peach. That is our recommendation, one of many.
