AeroPress Premium – coffee press made of glass and stainless steel
Glass in the hand, stainless steel at the rim, a calm plunge: the AeroPress Premium brews the same clear, round cup as the Original, in glass and metal instead of plastic.
The brewing chamber is handmade from double-wall borosilicate glass, the flange and plunger are anodised aluminium, the filter cap is stainless steel. The brewing principle of immersion, air pressure and micro-filtration is the same as for the other models in the AeroPress collection. Available in silver and white, with delivery throughout Switzerland or pick-up in Bern and Zurich.
Features
One brewer for many recipes

3-in-1 brewing technology
Part French press, part pour-over, part espresso: the AeroPress combines fast immersion, air pressure and micro-filtration. Because it brews quickly, the coffee does not over-extract. According to the manufacturer, the result is a balanced, aromatic cup without grit.

The details in everyday use
Brewing chamber made of double-wall borosilicate glass
Borosilicate glass resists thermal shock and is more scratch-resistant than ordinary glass. The double wall retains heat and keeps the outside of the chamber from getting hot. Because every chamber is made by hand, small irregularities in the glass are possible.
Stainless steel filter cap
The cap takes the standard AeroPress paper filters. It is hot after brewing: hold it briefly under cold water or remove it with a cloth. If the paper filter sticks to the cap, brush the end of the stirrer across it and it curls off.
Metal scoop and stirrer
Scoop, stirrer and paper filters are included. The manufacturer's starting point: one heaping scoop of medium-fine ground coffee, water up to mark 4, stir for ten seconds, press.

Who it's for
For everyone who cares about material and feel and wants a press made of glass and metal. The cup is no different from the AeroPress Original or Clear, which are lighter and also suit travel. The manufacturer does not recommend the AeroPress Premium for travel. Our opinion is one of many: if you want it, you know why. For help choosing, use the advice tool.
What goes with it
Freshly ground coffee brings out the best in the cup: as a hand grinder from Comandante or Timemore, electric from Varia or Weber Workshops. For dosing, a scale from Normcore, compact and precise, or from Acaia with app and flow-rate display. You will also find kettles at Varia, filters and organizers in the AeroPress collection. The advice tool helps you put your setup together.
Frequently asked questions
Does the coffee from the AeroPress Premium taste different?
The brewing method is the same as the Original, so the cup is too. The difference lies in material, craftsmanship and feel.
What material is the AeroPress Premium made of?
The brewing chamber is double-wall borosilicate glass with a flange made of anodised aluminium. The plunger is anodised aluminium with a silicone seal, the filter cap is stainless steel.
Which filters fit the AeroPress Premium?
The standard AeroPress filters: paper filters (included) or a reusable stainless steel filter in standard size.
Can the AeroPress Premium go in the dishwasher?
No. Because it is handmade, it is washed by hand only. It does not belong in the microwave either.
Can I see the AeroPress Premium live before buying?
That depends on whether the AeroPress Premium is on display right now. Our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) show a wide selection, but not our entire range. Drop us a quick line at [email protected] before your visit and we will check whether it is currently there.
How fast is delivery?
Delivery in 2–4 working days throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein. Click & Collect is available in Bern and Zurich.
Tip from the roastery: Through the glass you can watch the brew. For a dense, chocolatey cup we recommend Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight, for maximum body Very Nutty. If you like it fruity, discover a light roast with Wild Peach. That's our recommendation, one of many.
